  • National medalist in both 1992- bronze and 1993- silver medal
  • NCCP level 3 Coach
  • Entire family is involved in judo: May, Jeffrey,  Sharmayne, Thessa, and Jackie
  • May was the female provincial Judo Mb. coach with Mark Berger at the 2015 Western Canada Games
  • May was the female coach with Gary Sova of Judo Mb’s team at the 2003 Canada Winter Games
  • May has coached at the Legion Athletic Judo Camp for 16 years
  • May has instructed judo at Greenway School, King Edward School Light House Program and Victoria Albert’s Inner City Judo Club
  • May was Nationally carded by Judo Canada in 1992 with a C card and in 1993 with a B card
  • May lost a tough bronze medal match in the 1987 Canada Winter Games
  • May won a silver medal at the 1987 Western Canada Games
  • May’s daughter Thessa won a bronze medal in the 2015 CWG and she won 2 bronze medals in the Jr. U.S. Open Judo Championships
  • May’s daughter Sharmayne is a Shodan black belt and she has won 2 bronze medals in U21 and U18 Nationals.
